Road Closures & No Parking Information

The Santa Barbara Half Marathon presented by HOKA & UCLA Health 5K is celebrating its 5th anniversary with a sold-out event welcoming 7,000 runners from across California, the United States, and around the world. Since 2021, the event has raised over $130,000 for local youth sports-focused nonprofits and public schools, with a record-breaking $60,000+ expected in 2025 alone. At the heart of this impact is the Santa Barbara Running Association (SBRA), the official beneficiary, which has championed the joy of movement and community connection since 1948 through year-round events and youth programs.

The event impacts downtown Santa Barbara with various road closures and heavy traffic early in the morning between 5:30am – 8:30am, especially along the waterfront. During the event, various local entertainers also motivate the participants with instruments or amplified music.
