Race Weekend Parking Information
Throughout race weekend you have a number of convenient options to drive or ride. Below we’ve outlined a few of these and included links to related agencies and organizations to help you plan out your trip.
There is no official event parking throughout the weekend. Please note any street parking time limits as well as any fees at City & Private lots.
Packet Pick-Up will take place in Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone. You may find parking on the street within the Funk Zone or within walking distance are City operated lots including the Garden St., Palm Park, and Lot 13 Amtrak Station lots.
The Starting Line (near Cabrillo Blvd. & Castillo Blvd.) and the Funk Zone Finish Line Festival (near State St. & Yanonali St.) of both the Half Marathon and SB Independent 5K races are just about half a mile from each other. No shuttle service is provided between the Start & Finish Line locations.
You are welcome to park in any of the City owned lots along the waterfront on Cabrillo Blvd. prior to the 7:00am start of the Half Marathon, but please note any parking time limits and/or fees at City or Private lots. There is no official event parking. If you have an active Waterfront Parking Permit you may use those on accepted lots just like any other day.
After 7:00am if you’d like to park closer to the starting line we suggest parking at Santa Barbara City College’s lots 2-C and 3 adjacent to La Playa Stadium, which will have continued access from Loma Alta Dr.
Please note that the Highway 101 off-ramps will be closed at Castillo St. and Bath St. We recommend exiting at Carrillo St. or Garden St.
For detailed closure information visit our Road Closures & No Parking page.
Bike Valet @ Finish Line Festival
Thanks to the Santa Barbara Bicycle Coalition (SBBIKE) and the Coalition for Sustainable Transportation (COAST) a bike valet will be available at the Funk Zone Finish Line Festival on Yanonali St. between 6:00am – 12:00pm. Ride down, jog over to the start and ride back home!
