Grab a sample of Athletic Brewing’s pioneering non-alcoholic brews at the Finish Line Festival!
We believe you shouldn’t have to sacrifice your ability to be healthy, active, and at your best to enjoy great beer – so we created our innovative lineup of refreshing, non-alcoholic craft beers.
We’re beer lovers at heart. But we also love being healthy, active, and at our best. These conflicting passions created an internal struggle. Why couldn’t these loves live in harmony? Yes, there was non-alcoholic beer – but we’re lovers of great tasting beer. Maybe it just wasn’t possible, but we had to give it a try. A few years and hundreds of recipes later, Athletic Brewing Company was born – the first brewery and tap room fully devoted to the production of non-alcoholic craft beer in the US.
Heeluxe was created by physical therapist Dr. Geoffrey Gray, who rehabilitated professional athletes. He also delved into woodwork and classic car rebuilds before designing his first pair of high heels in the garage.
He understands how the body works, how the machines work, and how to make functional things of beauty.
This makes him uniquely qualified to lead our group of world-class scientists and researchers in progressing the study and design of all footwear styles.

When Dr. Vaughan created the first energy gel to help his daughter, an ultra-marathoner, reach her peak performance, the only choice at the time was an energy bar that resembled sawdust bricks more than food. These gut bombs were difficult for his daughter to process during her training and races. Unnecessary ingredients caused bloating, diverted oxygen rich blood from the muscles, and ultimately limited her performance.
Dr. Vaughan’s revolutionary energy gel created an alternative food that housed only the critical carbohydrates for energy and essential amino acids for muscles support. This gooey miracle food, which the body could absorb in seconds, was aptly named GU Energy Gel. And so GU was born.
