Originated on the sandy shores of California, Soul Majestic channels their sunny beach days and bonfire nights into their unique style of reggae music. Look beyond their laid-back vibe, and you’ll find they are ever pushing the boundaries of the genre with an edge that cuts through the smoky haze. Their music blends a deep commitment to roots reggae with a love of hip-hop, R&B/Soul, psychedelic rock, pop and folk music. It’s a new twist on familiar reggae sounds, with conscious, heartfelt, and socially relevant yet timeless messages. Their signature vocal sound features male and female singers trading melodies and soaring harmonies, laced with edgy, crowd hyping dancehall verses and memorable hooks. Epic lead guitar solos wail over a wide range of tight danceable beats, rock flourishes, and heavy dub interludes, creating a captivating live experience.

With a resume that includes recording with some of the greatest legends in the business (such as Sly and Robbie), sharing festival stages with the likes of Rebelution, Matisyahu, Sean Paul, and Damian Marley, and extensive touring of North America both headlining and as a support act for Jamaican dancehall artist Anthony B, Soul Majestic has managed to amass a worldwide fan base. They have journeyed together through many adventures and growth opportunities in their career, from a pilgrimage to Jamaica to record their second album “Until that Day” at Bob Marley’s Tuff Gong Studio, to touring Canada in support of their third album, “Better World” (which received an award for Galaxy Radio Canada’s top 10 international reggae albums of the year). Through it all they have maintained a strong unity and drive to continue to do what they love most: uplifting people through music.

A successful crowd funding campaign fueled the recording of their fourth album “Setting the Tone” (which landed on the iTunes top reggae charts and was submitted by industry insiders for the GRAMMY Reggae Album of the Year), and led to the construction of their own studio and production lab. Following a tour schedule that included Lucidity Festival, Santa Barbara Earthday, and the California Roots Festival, Soul Majestic released a compilation album online called “Pass It Around” which reached #7 on iTunes top reggae downloads and was selected as one of iTunes Best Reggae Albums. To promote it they released singles “Rockaway”, “Deep Green,” “Dub it Out” and “Falling in Love”, which debuted live at the California Roots Festival. The band was also featured as the cover story for Irie Magazine. In recent years the band has played at the Santa Barbara Bowl, headlined the Fiji Islands Spirit Festival and Bula Festival, and toured alongside Australian reggae artist, Saritah.

Their 6th album ‘Keep it Burning’ released in 2020 hit the top 10 on iTunes Reggae Charts. The album blazes with fun collaborations & fan favorites. In the years since they’ve interspersed studio time with touring, playing theaters, clubs, bars, & festivals, continually elevating their live shows. New singles ‘Blue Summer’ & ‘Touch the Sky’ dropped in 2022 & ‘Ashes to Ashes’ a recording from the vault and ‘Let’s Be Real’ released at the start of 2024. With their next album coming out later this year, Soul Majestic has reached their highest level of live shows, songwriting, & musical creation so far. Stay Tuned!

Thank you to Full Moon Audio for supporting the Golden Hour lineup.
